HostReview.com, a leading online destination for the web hosting industry, announced the beginning of its third Best of the Year Awards campaign and opened nominations for the Readers’ Choice Award. HostReview will once again strive to recognize the innovators and leaders in the industry and to honor web hosting companies that excel in their business sector.
This year HostReview is presenting a new award category in which companies will compete for the vote of the site’s readers. Any company can nominate itself, and anyone can nominate a company. Site visitors are now able to freely submit their favorite hosting firm for the Readers' Choice Award by visiting http://www.hostreview.com/top10year.html. Nominations close on December 15th. On December 16th, the voting page will go live and it will be open to all readers.
The scope of this year's annual Top 10 awards has been expanded to reflect changing technology and business practices. A total of nine categories will be awarded, including the first Readers’ Choice Award. This annual awards campaign coincides with the 10th anniversary of HostReview, and the editorial team will also be announcing a Web Host of the Decade Award, to cover the period 1998-2008.

3. Best Budget Hosting
4. Managed Hosting Service
5. Best Reseller Hosting
6. Best SaaS Provider
7. Best VPS Provider
8. Best Cloud Service
9. Readers' Choice Award
The Annual Awards will culminate with the announcement of the Top 10 best companies in each category on January 15th 2009, and one randomly selected reader, who voted for a company in the Readers' Choice category, will be lucky to receive the big prize—a Black iPod 8 GB.
When ranking the firms, the HostReview editorial team takes into consideration a suite of factors, including offered services, package diversity, customer support, new products and services, feedback, and overall performance of the selected companies.
